    mopar amp upgrade help

I used to have a 2006 charger srt8 with kicker audio, if I remember correctly it had a 276 watt amp for the cabin speakers and a 200 watt amp for the subwoofer, when I switched to a 2006 300c srt8 the stereo sounded cleaner, I believe it has a 322 watt amp for the cabin and a 100 watt amp for the sub. I just looked at the 2008 charger srt8 and it now has 322 and 200 watt amps while the 300 srt8 still has 322 and 100. Anyone have any experience with the upgraded charger system? I was thinking that maybe I could find a 200 watt amp out of a charger to upgrade my 100 watt amp
when I started digging and discovered this. Maybe swapping to the 200 watt amp in back and upgrading to Mopars 366 watt amp up front would improve the sound quality of my stereo which I have grown unhappy with. I just want to make a nice improvement in cleaning up the sound and maybe increasing the thud a small bit without putting in a completely aftermarket system. The thing I am most unhappy with is the mids and highs, 2nd is the bass in not clean enough, think my idea would help my plight?
    thanks,
    Fionn

Do not spend the money on that stuff. Go with a Kicker ZX or SX series amp instead. It may even be cheaper than those amps, plus youre getting higher quality equipment.

Not sure what the RMS on the speakers and stuff are, but check out www.kicker.com for the good stuff.

***However, you could go with the best amp out currently for speakers and such, the Sundown SAX-100.4 BEST AMPS OUT PERIOD! Nothing can compare to this company and their amps and thats the truth. Here some stuff about it.

The SAX-100.4 is the second "X" series multi-channel amplifier to come from Sundown Audio. It packs enough punch that one could also run a set of front speakers with one pair of channels and a subwoofer, bridged, on the other pair of channels for use as a total system amplifier where high power is not required.

    SPECIFICATIONS:
    • 100 x 4 watts @ 4 ohms
    • 160 x 4 watts @ 2 ohms
    • 320 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms bridged

Thanks for the info, how would this work on our oem speaker setup? Wouldn’t I need a lot more than 4 channels?
I would love to get a nice aftermarket amp and have a simple plug and play installation with the factory speakers, wires and nav unit.

Just hook the speakers up to two of the channels and then use the other two for the sub(s)? I think that would work. Its almost 2 a.m. here so I could be wrong. I dont the RMS of your speakers, so I cant help much more than that. Plus the Sundown amps are WAY underrated so you can expect to see alot more than what is listed.
