    Magnum SXT 08 factory stock

mine has the sirius but non nav. when i installed the subs in back i tapped fuse 18. worked great. paralleled off the back speakers to get my rca conversion. works great but how can i get the volume to go louder. even without the subs it seems the treble gets lower at higher volumes. then with the subs the lowlowend get quiet at high volumes. any advice to get the classic balls to the wall sound instead of the overcompressed sound. i need that edge of distortion. thanks

There is not really anything that you can do about the sound going down when youn reach a certain point on the volume. That is built into the radio from the factory to make it harder to blow the factory speakers. You can fix the bass side of the problem though. MTX has the RE-Q that is a type of line out converter that compensates and gives you constant volume up as you turn the knob.
If you used their upper end interface and put an amp on highs, this would fix them also. But, you will need to replace the factory speakers also.
