I just want to stick a fork in this.
I took my vehicle to the dealer and after the service writer sitting in my car so I could SHOW him/explain to him what was wrong, I went back the 2nd day so he could have a Dodge Rep fix it.
Yes, the EVIC needs to know the SAT radio is connected and working, which is what I tried to tell them. Unfortunately the "technician" thought he knew what he was talking about and told the Service writer I just had to press the INFO button on my NAV unit to see the station information...
Anyway, thanks for all the responses and the help, without the knowledge transferred in this forum I would have not had an intelligent leg to stand on.
BTW, there is a lot more stuff to this story, including me calling a Sales Rep an @$$hole, but I refrained FROM telling you all that.
My Service Writer did an outstanding job and I can't wait to fill out the Customer Satisfaction Survey so that I can bring him some proper attention.
Thanks ALL!
Oh yeah...You know it does..........
