I hope it works for you... I'm not sure how the controls communicate with the radio, it could either be a direct wire or through the DATA bus. If its through the DATA bus I doubt this works for you, and most everything in the car is driven off that. If it works AWESOME, definately post a how to for it cause I know alot of members will want to know how to do it.

    Good Luck!

    it says in the notes:

Once connected, the SWI-X's failsafe memory will learn up to 12 functions FROM your receiver's wireless remote, retaining them even if battery power is interrupted. The interface works with the steering wheel controls (and some rear seat radio controls) in the following vehicles:

    Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep: all 1992-and up models

    i guess we will see....

Hopefully, someone will develop something that will work at some point. However, the unit you are looking at will not work on the 300 or the Magnum. As someone already mentioned, the controls are integrated INTO the BUS system, just like everything else.

While the SWIX is an AWESOME unit (I have used it before), it will not work in our application.

Page 8W-47-12 in the service manual has the wiring diagram for the controls, and shows BUS interface wiring.......

www.pac-audio.com is the site for the company that makes the SWIX. They have an online application guide. While they do not have the Magnum listed under Dodge vehicles, they do have the 05 300 in their Chrysler application information. They currently state that the SWIX will not work for us.....

However, while looking at their site..... we need to get them to work on our vehicles!
They have a video back-up camera to GM navigation radio converter available......
They are working on other makes according to their website:

"Solution for these vehicles with navigation is in the works: Acura, BMW, Cadillac, GMC, Jeep Lincoln, Mini Cooper, Range Rover, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Jaguar, Infiniti, Nissan, Volvo, Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen."

Of course, I'm sure that our solution will REQUIRE internal mods to the nav unit, and will not be a simple plug n play application!

    Hope this info helps......

    From another board....

Yes, we have found some info on the 300C, and unfortunately our SWI-X will not work for this vehicle. We have found that there is new DATA bus that is ran throughout the vehicle. Come to find out the Steering wheel controls are on this DATA line and our swi-x just can't work on this line. We are currently working on a solution for these vehicles and are hoping to have something in the next 6 months. I would CHECK up on our web site for the release of this product.

    Thank you,

The SWIX will not work with the magnum wheel controls. There is a company called Soundgate and they are working on one but no date yet. www.soundgate.com

A shame too. I have this working on my Intrepid. Its a MUST HAVE if you have an aftermarket radio and want to keep your stock controls.

Its not a perfect solution... it uses an IR signal. Sometimes i press a button and it doesn't hit. But it does the job adequately enough.
