well one, HID's take time to ignite, so putting them in the high beams will render your Flash to pass useless as they won't ignite with the quick flip of the turn signal stalk.

and two, I tried it.. the low beams at 6000K are bright enough that it pretty much renders the high beams completely useless, turning them on (esp if you have HID fogs) and you won't see any difference as the light just blends into the road...

since high beams are aimed higher, one would think that you would see the light at a higher level, but HIDs are "spread" light vs Halogens which is focused to one point.. so the HID's with highbeam reflectors cover basically the same area as the low beams, so you are being redundant..

with my 6000K low and fog HID's my halogen 8000K HIR bulbs do nothing from a drivers seat point of view EXCEPT alert other drivers if I flash them..

having HID's in the fog and low beam provides enough light that even on the pitch black darkest roads you will not need your high beams, nor will you be able to even tell they are on.

damn i want to order a pair for my fogs, but i don't know if i can install them myself.(not good with wiring). the thing that's holding me up is that none of the car shops in my area will install anything not purchased from them.

After a LOT of reading, bought these from his eBay store

    http://www.omnixautosports.com/9006-...06-hid-kit.htm

This is the only kit I have seen that makes any mention of DOT approval - all the other kits say 'for off road use only'.

I'll modify the input harness like so:

    and install plug & play.

HIDs actually draw less than halogens (35W v 55W) so there really should be no need for the remote relay(s).

    We'll see.

    Mr. iCREDIBLE,

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. I have been a lighting enthusiast for over two decades. I have killer lighting on my RT Durango. So I am looking for the best lighting options on my MSRT 8.

There is an interesting article in USA today. (not my favorite paper) http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/...6-07-xenon.htm
06 Magnum SRT8 all options, 180 Tstat, Diablosport, Corsa, C&L CAI; 64 Plymouth Belvedere, 2 Dr HT, 6.2 SRT8 Hemi, T-56, Dana 60 4.10 (in progress); 2000 Durango RT, Headers, TB, Computer, cowl induction hood; 74 Fiat X1/9, 2.2 Turbo IV, Super 60 Kit; Coil overs, too much to list (in progress)

But flashing your high beams will not do any better and stock halogen. HID bulbs take a few seconds to reach full brightness.
