    Help w/ head unit!

Hey whats up guys I have an 06 chrysler 300c w/ the factory rec nav 6 disk changer. (w/ ba audio.) My ques is if I want to replace the head unit w/ an after market unit, would I lose the steering control options. I know about the harness to get the volume working, but what about accessing the evic display. would I lose the evic. or can I still access the evic.
Asking because I want to upgrade to maybe a pioneer f90bt.
Also your opinions on the best aftermarket nav headunits would be greatly appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

you shouldn't lose EVIC control. not sure about radio control though.

i have the kenwood DNX7120 (no EVIC). works great but i think the MyGig with voice recognition would be more convenient.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

    ok

Ya should be fine, call up pac audio and they can tell you what to get for your car. The only thing that won't work is the fm display in the evic, everything else will work.

I would go with the Metra CHTO-01 harness. Unlike the pac harness it has 4 preamp outputs, so you keep the ability to fade. Which may not matter to most people, but with the F90BT you can output a dvd to an external video source (headrest screens perhaps) and to the rear speakers...while listening to a different source(stereo, iPod, SD card) in the front. If you go with the PAC harness you won't be able to split the sound like that.
