HELP!! New Headunit won't turn on!

I just bought the new JVC HD single din player, spliced all the wires together, plugged it in and the player initially turns on but turns off, and wont turn back on again?? Tried restarting the deck but no go, any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to grab +12V from another wire somewhere (usually the cig plug) because the stock radio turns on via a signal on the CAN bus rather than a regular 12V feed like older and aftermarket radios. You used the PAC audio adapter right? Cuz the radio doesn't send audio to the stock amp either, it's all data...

ight ill try that, I have the base SE with 4 speakers, theres no amp, is there, cuz I didnt buy the PAC adapter. I just have the universal wring harness and the harness from the headunit. Oh yeah, there were two yellow 12 +volt battery constant wires from the universal harness and one from the headunit, should I attach one to the other and use the extra wire to the cig lighter???

take the acc wire from the headunit then pull out the panel where you cig lighter and ashtray are you'll see the plug thats in the cig lighter pull that out pull back the tape and splice from the acc on your headunit to the white/ ornage wire for the cig plug as well as using the harness adapter and just tape off the 2 yellow wire's on the harness. this will give you the acc on feature as well as the door open feature that doesent turn the headunit off untill your door opens up.......hope that helps
