Most prefab band pass enclosures are the suck. Don't be surprised if you feel the urge to ditch that enclosure.

If you don't have the MyGig (or just don't like it), I'd go ahead and spring for an aftermarket head unit. I really like Kenwood's Excelon line of HU's, but you'll pay a premium for them. If you are happy with what you have, you can easily hook it up using a LOC. PAC makes the one's I've seen. If you wanted to take bass out of the doors entirely and feed it all to your subs, you could get something like the MTX cleen-sweep, but if you don't have the MyGig I'd really recommend against that as a new HU is a more reasonable investment.
But yeah, just LOC from the rear deck speakers into the amp RCA's and you're good. It works fine for my system, and should for you too as long as you set the LPF to 80-100hz.
being a 2.7 I assume you have the base 4 speaker system and no factory amp .. so personally I'd start swapping out the head unit the door and rear speakers and then add a set of 3.5's to the dash..
Good threads in the knowledge base on how to do both..
