    Funny U-Connect Story

I love the U-Connect except that when people see you "on a call" you look like a psycho talking to yourself. People aren't used to seeing those hands free things in the cars yet.

I was going though a drive through Dunkin Doughnuts getting a coffee on my way to work yesterday and I placed my order. The guy said "drive around". Well while I was behind the building, one of my friends called me. I saw who it was on the caller ID in the dash, and as I was about 10 feet FROM the pickup window, I hit the U-Connect button to answer.

Well, since I saw that it was one of my friends, I answered the phone like "Heeelllllllllllllloooooooooo....." (kind of like the hello FROM Seinfield where the woman's belly button talked, or something like that. I don't remember hat episode that well, but it was a drawn out silly hello).

I didn't realize but I was right next to the pickup window when I said that and the guy in Dunkin Doughnuts leaned out of the window and did it right back to me ("Heeelllllllllllllloooooooooo....."). Then we both heard my friend on the phone say "Steve, is that you?" And all of the sudden the Dunkin Doughnuts guy realized I wasn't talking to him and the look of embarassment on his face was priceless. Not that I'm not friendly with people who wait on me or serve me, I am. But, this time it just happend to be perfect timing.

    Anyway, I laughed.
