let me know what you come up with...
I'm trying to get the rear DVD/VES to hook up with my NAV via an RCA cable...
    the problem is...
know one knows what the RCA cable is supposed to splice into on the rear DVD/VES...
as there is a 8 wire harness that plugs into the bottom of the unit...

    so like he said...
    ANYONE???
    thanks!

    CB,
Too bad you weren't working on this project at Spring Fling..... I'd have done it for free there.

If someone around the Houston area wants this mod (video from the VES unit into the factory NAV), please let me know. I'd be happy to make it work with the LX VES, and document the process for everyone else.

i just got mine the other day, havn't had a chance to see if it allworks.
Looking at the pins on the VES side it looks like it should fit but i dont know about the Radio Side. Someone post a VES installation PDF on here not too long ago. the wiring harness dont look the same, so im kinda wondering

Bo, does this require the nav2go mod, or did you figure out a way to do it with out it? thanks:grin:

Ok, to everyone that has been contributing to this thread THANKS!!! Unfortunally the harness that i ordered work with a little modding. Let me explain, the harness that plugs into the radio was a simple plug and play. That was the easy part, but sorry to say, but the connector that plugs into the VES system, well that didn't fit. Lucky for me both male and female connectors were included, so what I did was compare the two connectors, the harness had all the wires that were in the factory one. But the ordered one had one additional wire. So i started to pull one wire at a time and swaping them, the ordered harness pins were a little longer then the ves one, so I swapped out connectors and went for it and got it to work so if thyou got VES that you got still has the male connetor you can order the harness and swap the pins and got the VES to I didn't get the Headphones with them but there on the list, so I was not able to test the IR. If anyone needs help or has questions pm and I will be more then happy to help...hope this helps and if any one does get the real pn for the harness let me know.

    Bo,
    at this point...
    see this accompanying thread...
Factory rear VES/DVD player does NOT work currently with TVandNAV2GO
can you tell I'm happy about this???
I am trying to be professional and calm...
but this is not the simple plug and play like i was told...

Can you expand on what you can do with this?
I can even send you my VES/DVD unit to have you soldered a connection on the board...
    unless you have another idea?

i'll be in Phoenix this weekend for the M&G...
    drive out and meet us!
    Sincerely,
    Chris
