Evic Install in an Non-evic car

i'm trying to install an evic system in a car that did'nt had it, but can't get it to work, i've search the knowledge base without any outcome, can anyone help me??

i was supposedly just missing the cluster but i've installed one & steering switches are still not working, can anyone direct me what are the component & what is missing on my system: programation, harness, module??

I believe you also need the overhead module as it actually feeds the evic data and you probably also need the upgraded steering control module. I think there have only been a couple of people who actually replaced all the necessary systems to get it to work. There is a thread here somewhere where someone listed what they did.

This is what i'm looking for...


components i have right now

1: cluster
2: steering control
3: evic control box


1 things i've notice is a connector with no wires on the back of the cluster & on the back of the radio, maybe i'm missing a harness

According to a wiring diagram you need inputs from the overhead console module to the evic part of the cluster

I would imagine you'd also need the dealer to Starscan and activate the EVIC stuff on your ECM. My son has an 08 charger SE+ that we added fog lights to and that had to be Starscan activated-so I have to figure an EVIC would too.

x2. as some1 stated on another forum, our cars work like a computer. when you add hardware you have to install software in order for it to be recognized.
