Was wondering if anyone has dynamatted the whole stock Kicker sub box and what was their outcome? I noticed it was rather flimsy and was contemplating taking it out and dynamatting it. Opinions?
waste of your time-it wont change the fact that the box flex's all over the place.
the sub would sound 10x's better if they designed a more ridged box for it in the first place.
3/4 mdf would be best for the factory sub but since it wont fit-find some one that can duplicate the box in 1/4 mdf and fiber glass and it will hit 6db's harder
I'd be unstoppable if it wasnt for Physics & Law enforcement
I don't think that lousy 100W sub or whatever it is really moves enough air to make the box movement a concern. IMO Dynamat on the box is a waste. Put it on the car to keep sound in/out and you'll get better results.
