    double din instillation

    Did you get a whinning noise when you installed a double din in your car i have this annoying winning noise when the car is started???

    Only at start up or does it follow the engine RPM?

    follows the rpm and yah a 4 channel amp and subs with a 2 channel the noise is soooo annoying got to turn the music all the way up to tune out the dam buzzing noise

    I would look at where and how you ran your audio wires, and the quality of said wires. In our cars a tiny bit of noise seems to be unavoidable, but with the volume barely on that should be enough to completely mask it. If you're louder than that it's an installation problem. Use good shielded audio cable and don't run it along any major power wiring.

    A couple of other culprits for noise besides the ones mentioned are bad ground at the amp and having the gains set too high. Both of those will also induce noise into the system.

    The LX platform doesn't have the greatest ground in them to begin with. In fact almost all unibody cars have poor grounds since they are put together with spot welds and adhesives on primered/painted panels.
