Is there anyway to get full range sound in the door speakers instead of just bass, with the factory head unit?

Do you have the Boston acoustics? If you do you will only get low frequencies out of the front doors. There is no way around it unless you bypass the stock amp and go custom. The only stock system that produces full range out of the doors is the base system.

I have an aftermarket 4 channel hooked up to the doors and rears, so if i bypass the factory amp and get my loc's before the amp i will get full range?

If you just have teh 4 speaker set up then it will be full rage.

I have 2 in the rear deck 2 in the door and 2 dash so i guess 6 speaker plus factory sub that i took out and replaced.

The tricky part about trying to get that type of sound out of the front speakers is getting the proper signal to them. Since the crossover is built directly into the amp, you would have a hard time getting a full range sound out of any speakers tying off the factory amp.

Probably the closest thing you can get for full range off the factory amp would be to tie off the back speakers since they are the closest thing to full range sound on the 7 speaker BA system.

Or you can get a C2A-CHY to wire in behind the factory radio. That will give you a set of pre outs that are full range.

the way you do this is to flip the rear deck speaker wires to run the front doors at full range-then use the front door speaker leads to run the rear deck speakers as mid bass-that way if you add subs it will inhance the rear bass.

I wanna know why the rear doors dont have anything?!!? I had a doge caliber R/T with BA and the sound was WAY better than my charger!

Idunno if that's an upgrade but it's a start. Do what sound and security said. If you like how it sounds cool if not, then you should go with some 4 ohm speakers and a pac audio or metra kit that will give you some nice rca signals to some aftermarket amps. The stock system is real cookie cutter. Good Luck.
