Dead battery

Mt chally has sat in the garage for 2 weeks steady and the battery is dead. I have a custom system and the battrery is under it all. Can I recharge te battery from under the hood, and I have a cap in my system so is it probably dead too or is it ok? Can I just put jumpers on the battery leads under the hood?
