Dash removal around NAV system, help? Pics?

I don't know if this was answered before, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on how to remove the NAV unit and the dash plate around it.

I want to add a FM modulator for connection to the kids DVD/entertainment stuff to play though the radio (not cause I want to listen to it, but mainly so I have control over the volume).

Before I start pulling, I wanted some help or at least a direction to start tugging/pulling.

    Thanks

PS. Pics of the process would be even better.

It is really easy. Just open the power outlet holder at the bottom and then just pull the plate off.

Go here and click on the Magnum link.

You are looking for the REMOVAL of the Center Console DOC.

BTW, if you have the Temperature Control module and you disconnect it, don't mess around with it after you reconnect it. What I mean is, don't sit there and keep messing with the A/C or heat, let it readjust on it's own.

So if you turn on your A/C, let it get adjust to all the sensors in the car before you start adjusting the temp.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for.

I'm still a little scared about pulling on that large panel around the nav system and climate controls. But I guess it just pops off.

    Thanks again.

There is also an antenna junction behind the glove box you could use and not need adapters for them, you will still need power for the mod
    Thanks for the Avatar, Hazman

I was a little curious about that as well. At first I thought that you might have a directions to your house, and a map of your yard with your septic tank labeled with the combination to the pad lock for your septic tank cover in there somewhere.

That being said, if someone wants to steal my s_it I would gladly provide the above info.

I think it might have something to do with you opening your online storage up for us. I noticed anyone can download the doc files you have (thanks by the way, those are cool) but nothing so overly personal that I would be worried about sharing with the 300c/magnum crew here.

Oh well, thanks for sharing your online folders with us.

I think he meant that since all you do is pop off the center console bezel (no screws) and remove 4 radio screws, the radio is easy to steal.

At least that's what I got FROM it. (???)

I remember the radio in my ford's. You need those little U shaped tools (or a coat hanger bent in the shape of a U). Then stick them in those 4 holes (2 on either side, a U shaped tool for both sides) then put pressure outward and pull. The radio came out in your hand. I thought that was the easiest radio to remove. You didn't even have to take off the bezel around the radio.

Oh for those who don't know what I'm talking about:

    Here are the tools:

and a pic of the radio being removed:

Doesn't anyone want to steal what's in my septic tank?
