I'm about to purchase a 300 Limited here in Ontario Canada. My question is, does the nav system have the bluetooth with it or is it a seperate option? Also is it available in Canada.
Thanks in advance

The bluetooth option is a part of the Uconnect. It does integrate with the Nav system. The phone number, battery and signal all display in the nav system. When you look a business name up and the database has the number you only have to click one button for the number to be called. It is a really neat feature. Love it.

so I ORDER uconnect and the nav system as two seperate options? Or if you ORDER the nav system does it have uconnect wih it? And Can I get it in Canada
thanks for the response
Not sure about the availability in Canada. You need to ORDER both the Uconnect and the Nav system seperately.

I want the uconnect system but didn't ORDER it yet because I am with Bell. I checked with Bell and they won't have a bluetooth phone for a while...(they wouldn't give me any idea how long) I think the only provider in Canada that has a bluetooth phone is Fido, and FROM a list I saw some where, it doesn't look like it is one of the ones that will work with the UConnect anyway....I will be ordering the Uconnect ass an add-on once the phone is available....![]()
I have a Kyocera 7135 phone that I can get a bluetooth sd card for it. I hope that will work. Its a Bell phone by the way.
Also Rogers sells a bluetoooth phone http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wire...&summary=1 :D
Just spoke to a dealer here in Toronto and to get the bluetooth option for a 300 limited it costs 900 bucks? Who in thier right mind would pay that?
I thought the uconnect was around $200-$300---I could be wrong though
I can 't switch to Rogers....Business Phone #---plus already in a 2 yr agreement with Bell...I think I will Look INTO the Kyocera option though in January when I can upgrade my phone...
Thanks
Search the net for cell phones and you will find many vendors. What you want is a Bluetooth, infra red, triband, world phone that is "unlocked". I bought a Sony Ericcson T630 FROM Hong Kong last year and it is small, bright, internet-enabled, picture taking and voice activated. Canada is about 2 light years behind the rest of the world in cell technology. I got my phone and Rogers activated it retiring my old Nokia 6160
Man this sucks. I spoke to 2 sales guys at 2 different Chrysler dealers here in Toronto. One said it was 900 bucks but he was guessing. The other one didnt know what i was talking about. I guess Chrysler Canada is 2 years behind in tech as well. I'll wait till next year to get bluetooth.
I didn't realize I could still add this as an option. It was one of the only things I didn't get and now I'm hearing how cool it is and my new phone just happens to be bluetooth...I'm going to call the dealer on monday...no I won't...thats a holiday..I'll call them on tuesday and find out what it takes to add it.

You people in Canada are talking about u-connect not bluetooth, bluetooth is a segment of u-connect and is not part of the nav but is integrated with the nav IF you had factory installed u-connect, which for some god knows reason not available in Canada until I believe Oct. but I had heard it was available in Canada about 2 months ago if you factory ordered the car.
Whoever was quoted 900 bucks should run to another dealer because you would be getting ripped off. I added the after-market u-connect and ordered out of a dealer in South Carolina, but have found that the u-connect can be ordered here in Canada FROM any 5* and I have seen the books and if you wheel and deal you should be able to get it for a good price.
I mada a mistake of HAVING my local 5* put it in and I ended up paying for the dealership. If you read the instruction manual there is no doubt that most of you could do it yourself or get some neighbour kid who is INTO stereo's to do it. Install should take less than an hour.
The manual shows th mic placed on the upper roof light module and this was measured for sound and is not recommended to put it anywhere else.I placed the control module on the center hump next to my right knee and it works very well at this location.
I got my Ericcson T616 phone FROM Rogers and it works very well and the pairing was a snap. It is one of the best features I have ever used, as I am hearing impaired thanks to my military service, and I had a hard time hearing the the phone and trying to answer the phone by pulling a hearing aid and being bloody dangerous. This system is unreal.
Sorry for the long post.
