My speakers in the doors have only played bass since I can remember, anyone have any insight on why that is?
Is it possible to wire a door speaker amp to these speakers so they play mids/highs... I have a subwoofer system and could use the louder mids/highs.
Let me know!
Ever since my avic D2 installation this has been happening, but can't remember back far enough to remember whether or not they played mids and highs prior.

Doors are midbass. You would need to hardwire your speakers to get around this.
My car is lower then your standards _____
my doors & dash are wired to an amp with the dash receiving the highs and the doors receiving the mids.
hmm is that different from how the boston acoustics are wired from the factory? Call me dumb but im used to old POS cars
So you have the factory boston 6x9 still in place but just added subs and an amp right? If so, since you are just running the highs (door speakers) off the radio without an eq or crossover, it will play with the sound adjustments you made to the radio for the subs.
For instances, to keep bass from coming thru the highs, the bass/low setting would be turn down on the head unit. But doing so, the subs are not beating because the setting is low. So I assume that you have the bass cranked a bit, hence the reason its coming thru the highs.
If you do have a high hooked up, disregard the above. You might just need some adjustments to the radio and amp.

I have a question, i have a 4 channel hooked up to the doors and the rear deck speakers, im going to eventually do an amp to the tweeters in the dash, but why does the navigation sound muffled now. Disconnect the amp it sounds fine, hook it up the navigation speaker sounds muffled.

What are the highs hooked up to? An amp or off the radio? Also are they oem or aftermarket? Can you listed what you have installed in the car? I'm confused myself.
The factory BA 6 speaker system has the door 6x9's playing from around 200-250hz and down (guessing here on the exact frequency), the dash 3.5's play from 200-250hz and up and the rear 6x9's seem to run full range.

Are the speakers in the door OEM speakers or aftermarket? If you're running two 12s IMO it's a must to have an amp on your aftermarket mid/high speakers. The wattage from the HU is a joke. Your subs will drown your mid and high range speakers. My doors are converted to a 6.5 instead of the 6x9
Buy aftermarket speakers.
