Because I upgraded my amps and speakers and was hoping to give it some time to save more money before upgrading my stock head unit...I kept the stock unit. I'm thinking that wasn't a good idea because i'm getting some kind of click/hiss noise and I guess I should just shell the money out now and cut back in other areas to be done iwth what I want to do...even if I need to take some from a credit card and pay it back. Because I have a portable nav, and don't care about DVD....I was wondering what would be a solid unit to replace the stock unit that I have now?
My system right now is the "kicker upgrade" for all the speakers and dual 10'' voice coil 2ohm subs -- the subs are powered by a 750.1 kicker amp and the speakers by a 4 channel kicker 350.4 amp. I was hoping to just get a unit to replace the factory unit without necessarily having to replace the console.....I know some of the navi models require you have a "dual din" or something from what i've read....so I was wondering if I just went with a dvd player vs. a screen...would I still need a dual din?
So I guess it's a two part question....what would you consider a solid factory replacement head unit/cd player and would I need or should I do a dual din with the replacement? Thanks to anyone for any advice on this.....![]()
