I'd love to get one of those license-plate-frame fisheye video camera thingies so you can back up tightly to things without fear of tapping the precious RT, but only if we can figure out a way to tap INTO the NAV system's screen.

On aftermarket headunits with video inputs and all, they usually have a method of automatically switching to the second video input when the car is put INTO reverse. (not an option for me as I have the factory DVD/NAV system)

Other options are replacement rearview mirrors with half-silvered LCD screens in them that come on when the car goes INTO reverse. (not for me as I have the U-Connect business in the rearview).

It would be TOO COOL if the stock DVD/NAV screen would pop INTO back-up camera mode when the car goes INTO reverse.... How can we do this? Even if it requires some hacking and soldering, it would be well worth it....

Anybody ripped out or been inside the factory NAV unit yet?
