    Anyone using a laser jammer?

I'm really thinking seriously about getting one, but the cost and installation are what's deterring me. I know there are some good ones out there, but looking for real world opinions. These damn cops are just swarming like I've never seen before. I can't go more than a couple miles without being clocked! Just pisses me off because it has very little to do with safety and all about making up for lost/mis-managed revenue...

    This from radarbusters.com...

Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.
If you decide to use a laser jammer in one of the states that they are outlawed, consider getting the Blinder M-20 or M-40 or the Lidakek LE-30. The Blinder and the Lidatek are the only laser jammers made today that give minimal "error codes" to the police laser guns.

Yeah, I think it's the radar jammers that are illegal everywhere. I gotta do something and that doesn't include driving 35 mph on a four lane road!!

To clarify: radar is regulated by the FCC, and jamming or altering a radar signal is illegal.

Laser is regulated by the FCC, and (at least in Washington State) it is not illegal (yet!) to alter a laser signal.

Use of both radar detectors and laser blockers are legal in Washington, not sure about other States. We sell alot of Beltronics RX75 Plus units, and have never had any customers comment about any hassles with LEO regarding use of said equipment.

Actually, laser is regulated by the FDA not FCC. Light is not something the FCC messes with. The Laser Jammers are NOT illegal everywhere. Only some states have outlawed them. Here in California, they are are not even a moving violation. It is a misdemeanor infraction for interfering with law enforcement equipment.

Now, the new Blinders act like a parking sensor too so, this also helps with thier "legality". Still, don't be dumb and go speeding around the streets. They are there to HELP you stay the limit. It is not a license to speed. [blah blah blah.. aint yo daddy so you get the picture]

Having said that, I have the new M27 on my Maggie and M47 on my Dodge Ram and they work GREAT!

I had the Blinder Laser Jammer with all 4 heads installed in the front, worked great. Definitely worth the price and definitely NOT illegal.

The legality of it would probably come down to the officer/DA when they take it to court. The sole purpose of a jammer would be to interfere with a law enforcement operation, so I don't see how they could possibly be considered completely legal. If you get caught with one, I wouldn't mouth off to the cop about knowing they are legal or anything like that. The law is full of gray areas.
