Anyone use Bluetooth w/JVC head unit?

Put the KW-AVX800 head unit in last week, now adding the Bluetooth unit for it. I'm thinking I will put the microphone on the dash, just below the ignition switch. Wondering if there may be a better place but also unobtrusive.

The manual suggests the visor or on top of the steering column. I don't like the visor idea and the steering column isn't an option due to the adjustable nature of the Magnum column.

Also, the microphone comes with a hideously large S-shaped plastic holder, which I probably won't use. So if anyone has crossed this bridge and come up with a good location and substitute mic holder, please let me know. Thanks

I don't have the JVC, I have the Panasonic, but I placed it at the top of the 'A' pillar, close to the windshield. All of the hideously big clip will hide behind the trim.

It rocks. And it fits fine, with the Metra kit:

I really like the USB capability. I have almost 2000 tracks loaded up that way, on a 4GB thumb drive. I have also tested the SD capability and that's nice too - I have tried up to a 2GB card. And, I even figured out how to burn compressed audio to a DVD and it recognizes that too (5 more gig). The deck is really nice. Oh yeah, and it plays DVD's, recognizes video and picture files, etc.! I've been diggin the audio and the bluetooth so much, I almost forgot!

Really full-featured for the price, I think. Even has backup camera input, which I'll probably do someday. And external monitors...

I wound up putting the bluetooth mic just under the dash near the key. I forgot to take a full-on pic of it, but in the above pic you can see it a little. It is out of the way and hardly noticeable, I think (blends in with the dark plastic interior pieces above it and to the right of it; but mostly it's recessed--I like that).
