I just re wired the way an amp was installed in the car. It was first installed with high level inputs so the amp would detect the sound signals and turn on. The problem with that was sometimes the amp would get feedback after turning off the car, the sub would have a low pitched hum for a few minutes. I put in a line out convertor and then had to find an ignition switched "hot". I moved over fuse 18 so the cig lighter was always on and put a spade into the now open switched 18 fuse. now when you turn on the car the radio is clear for few seconds until the amp turns on then the radio is staticy. I tried a cd and it sounds fine. even the sat radio seems to take a while to tune in. any ideas?
