aftermarket stereo harness(es)

I have a PAC I think and also another harness that sends info from the steering wheel to the Navy (AVICD2). Every once and a while they trip off and all I hear is my subs. SO, I have to pull my bezel out and dis- and re- connect both harnesses until the audio cuts back in. It's a real pain and I'd like to know how to fix it as well. Anyone have any ideas?

When you say "trip off" do you mean you're listening to it and then it goes out?

Occasionally mine will only come on with the sub when I turn the car on, but all I have to do is turn the car off and open the door so the stereo shuts off, then I'm good to go.
