    You will need the following:

    Sub
    Box
    Amp
    C2A-CHY (pac-audio)
    1 pair 15' long RCA's
    1 stranded 14ga 15' long wire

The pac-audio box plugs in behind the REC and gives you two pair of RCA's, plus a 12v switched remote turn on wire.

Remove your console and run the RCA's and remote turn on wire to the trunk.

Install your amp, box and sub in the trunk and hook up accordingly.

It's pretty easy on these cars.

I will caution you NOT to get a basic LOC for this application. They are cheaper, but the sound reproduction is muddy and prone to roll off at higher volume levels, when compared to the C2A-CHY.

Keep in mind that you will not have bass control from the REC HU to the sub(s). Most mono block amps have a remote gain control that you can run to the dash, anyway.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, the C2A-CHY is a stand alone device and has nothing to do with your lock pick

I've found the best price for this little black box on eBay (about $78), sometimes with free shipping!

    Retail is around $99.

If you want to go direct, you can get it from Pac-Audio, or any good stereo store... Just don't let them sell you some cheap piece of junk and tell you it is the same thing. If they don't have it, move on.

In all reality you do not have to touch the dash. I spliced into the rear speakers for my setup with an in line converter. That way you can adjust the sub level with out taking dash apart or having to rig something up to access the RCA adapter. Just a thought.

This is the part mentioned above

The rear speakers are not full range in most setups, and the C2A is far superior as it gives you a remote turn on, and takes full range signal directly off of the CANBUS. A LOC might be a good solution for a base model car with the 4 speaker setup.

With the C2A-CHY I know the signal going to any amps off the RCA's is a raw signal and the bass/mid/tremble on the radio don't work, but does it effect the signal going to the factory amp as well? Basically if I am only adding an amp for a sub and leaving all the other speakers off the stock radio do I also lose control over the stock amp and speakers?

You will not lose any other functionality. Only the signal to the new amp will be null to any adjustment, but if you run an amp with bass boost, you can control it that way.

Great thanks, that is what I thought but it isn't real clear in all the threads I read through.

Thread resurrection! I have an 06 with the oem Boston Acoustic system and a mygig with lockpick. I plan on replacing the B.A. setup with oem kicker speakers along with the oem 368 watt digital amp so I'll need a sub for the low end. Is this the Pac interface I need for adding an aftermarket sub and amp for an 06 with mygig and lockpick?
