    300c Instrument Cluster

Does anyone know if the mileage on a cluster can be reprogrammed? I have a 2005 300c and just had the 3.61 EVIC software uploaded, but apparently my cluster does not support the "oil can" picture.

I found a 2006 Cluster on ebay, but I need to know if I can get the miles reprogrammed to the miles on my cluster so I don't run into a TMU(true mileage unknown), when I go in for warranty work or ever sell the car.

Mileage is stored in the PCM, the evic will update with the new installation.

Automatically? Whoa that's cool, I had to get my Impala reprogrammed at the dealer and it was a huge hassle. I put a Monte Carlo SS cluster in the Impala because it had the full gauge package (Speedo, Tach, oil pres, voltage, fuel and temp) instead of the idiot lights.

Chevy tossed a fit about it cause of warranty issues and I had to sign TMU paperwork and wait until the mileage warranty was expired blah blah blah blah blah...

So i can swap out and everything should update to what i currently have...

    way too easy....

Yeah, instrument cluster is controlled by a module called CCN (Cabin Control Node) it basically grabs data it needs and displays them for us. Double check with Fnkychkn he is all knowing on stuff like this.

vehicle mileage is stored by CCN (cabin compartment node/instrument cluster) and can only be overwritten by DCX approved service and repair depot. the PCM stores mileage as reference for emission controls and can be overwritten by starscan.
don't even think about installing a used CCN/cluster. vehicle configuration conflicts will affect most if not all vehicle accessories.

Nope, I just want the SRT8 cluster that has the newer EVIC so the oil can shows up, plus the SRT8 has cooler looking gauge faces...

EVIC is part of CCN/cluster. the part you see is just that, a display. the CCN supports all EVIC functions.
