111th MyGIG Thread

Let me preface this by saying that I know what I am asking has been covered, as I have been here reading, researching the MyGIG upgrade for the past few months. Problem is I grow a little more confused with each visit so as a desperate measure, I'm posting the umpteenth MyGIG thread to ask for help for my specific needs without hijacking someone else's thread.

First, I'll start with my Goals, then with what I think I need to achieve those goals and hopefully someone can confirm, or correct me where needed.

Goals

1. Upgrade 05 RT NAV with Premium Boston Acoustics Sound to MyGIG
2. Keep Evic Display Functionality
3. Use currenty installed Rooftop Sat antenna
4. Add amp and subs, without disturbing the factory Boston Acoustics system

Needs

1. MyGIG RER (low speed)
2. Lockpick -which of the following is best, major differences?

• Coastaltech?
• TVandNav2Go?

3.Terk Sir-SP Splitter (allows Evic to work and eliminates need for adding Sat antenna correct?)
4. Mic (for UConnect)
5. Nav Antenna
6. Pac Audio C2A-CHY (allows me to add amp & subs)


Am I missing anything?

I would like to convert my 05 RT with the NAVI to the MyGig too.
I have seen all sorts of threads but have yet to see one with a definitive breakdown of how to do it
and if it is really possible, with a working clock, etc.

It's been done already...but like you said only the clock dont work because of something dealing with the can bus.

I have HEARD these things were fixed, but I can't seem to find all the information on where
to get everything I need.
If someone were smart they would put together a complete KIT with the radio, lockpick, clock fix,
microphone, camera, etc... I think people would buy this.

I have a 2007 R/T with EVIC. I am getting a RER lowspeed Mygig. What will I need to make it work? I have read several posts and am a little confused.

I just need the gracenotes update and the Navigation update and the package will complete...

I'm sure it can be done, but I never gave it much thought. I sold my whole uconnect and REC set up to fund the MYGIG conversion plus it left me with some change for other mods.
