Photos not displaying within posts??

Sorry if there's already a thread on this (I did try searching for it, scanned several pages) but sometimes I'm not getting photos, e.g. a posting for a 'for sale' item. I'll see other people respond to it "looks great" etc like the pic is there but I'm not getting it. Is it just me or some settings on my computers I need to adjust??

Thats usually an issue with your connection. OR it could be a firewall getting in between you and the content. But probably its a connection thats a little slow or screwed up.

by 'screwed up', let me give this as an example: I have a *ridiculously* fast Comcast connection at my office. However, about half the time I get half-formed pages, pages without images and so on. The connections were traced and we found the reason for this is a misconfiguration somewhere at Comcast that routes some of our traffic from around the Horn of Africa and back to us via New Jersey. The signal takes so long we wind up timing out half the page.

Try refreshing your page and see if it magically displays better. For problems like the above, since your browser has already grabbed half the page, the refresh grabs the other half (or at least it will get more).
