    Is there a way to disable being notified of a post being liked? I personally never use it, I just give a green bean. Plus most of the time when I do try it says error on page.

    No, there is no way to turn it off. The designer of the forum (not the people who run this one, but the ones who design the software) did not include a way to turn it off. The admin here believe they will in one of the next few updates (who knows when those will be)...
