Newest posts

Maybe I just can't find it, but is there a way to jump to the newest post within a thread instead of thumbing through pages trying figure out where you left off at? Most forums can jump either by default or a handy button near the top when you open the thread. Am I missing something?

Yup, there is a little orange box next to the thread that looks like this .

Press that and you will go to the newest post (from the last time you visited) in that thread.

Is it too small in all honesty?

It's the default image for new posts that came with the phpbb software. I could enlarge it a bit if it bothers anyone. Never really thought about it, I guess I'm used to it....

You can also click on the "last post" on the right side of the screen to take you to the same area.

I never even thought of clicking on that tiny little icon.

You mean on the top of the index? That only brings you to a list of new topics...he was wondering how to get to the newest post in a topic.

It's a little small but then I ain't gettin' no younger either. LOL Don't change it for me, now that I know where to poke it at, no problem.

Sometimes the "Newest thread" button doesn't SHOW up when there are new posts. I've also noticed the clicking on the last page # ( when the post has more than 1 page) still takes me to the first page. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying.

I still can't retrieve new posts.
Tried clearing COOKIES, still not.
The only time I get new blue lit posts is when
I'm on the forum.
Any IDEA's? :idea:
