Database error when posting a Thread or Reply

After I submitted this thread, I received a Database error but the thread still posted.
The samething happened earlier today in Hemi31's X-Mas thread.
I tried to post a reply and then it gave me error and now shows me as having 4 replies.

This happens to me even on tapatalk.says thread/post can't be created,but if you press it again it says a post has been made.no duplicate posts available within xxxx

hmmm.

I had something weird happen myself. Posted to another thread and got the quick reply screen back. Clicking Post Reply got me the duplicate post warning. But then it turned out the post was successfully made the first time.

There's some maintenance that can be done on mySQL tables but I'm not crazy about doing it when the forum is running live. Right now, without added diagnostics in hand (day job prevents immediate action) consider me watchful but doing nothing.

Did that to me too this morning ...You know what else is happening, here on the RELPY BOX on any thread it will stay grey, and not allow me to post or reply. I try and go Advanced and it does the same thing. The box is just filled with grey like if it did not load correctly and then i cannot post. Has been happening ever since the LXF upgrade. I will have to shut down the PC and restart all my applications.

looks like you post and the post works, but a db error is thrown (small letters just above the Edit Reply window. Hard to see that an error is thrown in the first place).

But the post works. That means the operation to post is successful, but some other operation that happens after the post is made is whats blowing up.

Since, when we post, a duplicate entry is made in the searchable text database table (thats what is used when people search), and we know that search is effed up, I am going to wildly guess thats the source of the problem.

We are aware and it is getting worked on as we speak. One of the search tables crashed and is being repaired. Thanks for the reports guys!

So everyone who is reading this, while this is going on,

your posts will actually show up despite the error, which is happening after your post is complete but before everything associated with a post gets done.
A subscription will not be added to new threads you post in.
The thread in thread view will not show you as having made the post.

As DMag said, someone is working on this as we type.

It's because you are a putz . It's part of the forum update that weeds out putz's ( PRS or Putz Recognition Software ). Looks like it's working just fine . Hey Bertan.......
