Adding a column that says "First Post" on the "New Post" page

Is there anyway that you can add a column on the "New Posts" page that says "Original Post" (or any derivative thereof.."1st Post' or "First Post") and put it between the column that says "Thread/Thread Starter and the column that says "Last post". I can't tell you how many times that I have clicked on a thread and didn't realize that it was 6 months or a year old. I know quite a few people who feel the same way. Just wondering. Thanks.

I agree, how about just adding the original post date next to the original poster's name in the thread/thread starter column?
