not a muscle car any longer, it's a Eco-Friendly family car:
Impala's three powertrains all feature fuel-saving direct injection and lightweight components.
Impala's Ecotec 2.4L engine works with the eAssist system to provide electrical assist in certain conditions to help save fuel. It is estimated at 182 horsepower (134 kW) and is expected to achieve 35 mpg on the highway.
The Ecotec 2.5L is part of a new family of four-cylinder engines developed with increased efficiency and greater refinement. It is estimated at195 horsepower (145 kW).
Output for the 3.6L V-6 is estimated at 303 horsepower (226 kW).
303 V-6 is the largest power plant, GM is pushing the Hybrid to compete with Toyota's Camry, Impala isn't even classified as a full-size vehicle any longer, it is a mid-size.

Why do they keep showing the driver fiddlefarting around with stuff instead of keeping his attention on the road?
Messing with touchscreens is just as distracting as texting while driving.
When you drive the same car for while, you just know where the controls are. With a touch screen, there is no sense of feel, so it requires visual focus. Now when you start combining audio controls, climate controls, navigation, etc... all into one screen that requires the use of menus and such... you are just asking to get up close and personal with the rear end of the car in front of you.
As for the car... it looks ok, but nothing Earth-shattering.

I guess they put the big bow ties on the front and back to differentiate it from every other aero-blob design?
