    The Florida Electric Auto Association is holding its third annual “Battery Beach Burnout” later this month in Miami. Yes, burnout.
    The free-to-the-public event features several auto competitions limited to electric vehicles including a drag race, auto show, an autocross and scooter-cross. The event is intended to raise the public’s, and media’s, awareness of electric vehicles and green, alternative fuel options.

    The Milwaukee Tool V28 electric 1962 Chevy – as seen on Monster Garage – will be at the event with other jaw-dropping electrics from around the world.
    The Florida Electric Auto Association is a not-for-profit organization set out to promote the advancement of electric vehicles.

    Sounds spooky to me. Would be weird to watch cars going down the track and/or burning out making no noise!

    No they do make a noise....my electric R/C makes a heck of a lot of noise....its just sounds like your using an electric drill.

    I'd go - racing is racing, and them puppies might just be the a future NHRA class, you never know..

    Now racing against one might be a different story - I hate getting my ass kicked at the track...

    I happened to see an electric dragster of some sort at the local track one evening - it was absolutely silent (from the stands) except for the tire noise. Launched like a scalded ape.

    It probably did have an electric whine, but you couldn't hear it from the stands.

    Actually there can be some excitement with these....the new rapid-discharge batteries throw out so much power so fast these guys are frying motors after only a couple of runs....

    Now just pipe the sound of a couple of Hemi's through the loudspeaker system during the runs and maybe....

    sounds like a good time i'll watch any type of raciing. i'll even watch the snowmobile races when they run em across the lakes
