Man it's been a while since I've been over here...missed the whole post count thing and all.

ANYWAY

All of you with these things are lucky, I live in MD and I'm denied the right to carry the tools for self-defense. However those of you with them also have issues when traveling to some other states. Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is working to fix that. Here is a copy of the article. And here is a link to help find your Senators.

HI. I live in So. CA. where, thanks to our Sherrif, it's impossible for a common citizen to get a CCW. I am 100% for National Reciprocity. It will eliminate having to get CCW's that are honored elsewhere when I travel. My wallet is getting full! I don't hold out much hope as most Democrats are 100% against guns and CCW's. Regards, Bob.

No CCW here in Illinois either. LAst time it was up to vote it missed by one.The deciding vote was Democrat State Rep. Shadid from Peoria County. He is also former Sheriff of Peoria County. One of his comments, which he apologized for later was "I see no need to support this measure. I've already got mine (CCW)." This is in referring to the fact that he can still carry a gun as he is a part time Deputy Sheriff in title at least. You would think as a former Sheriff that he would know that LEO's only respond to crimes after the fact, while the victims need to respond to crime in real time as they occur to them personally.
