I'm just chillin'. Had to go in at 4AM yesterday, so I'm resting up up. I was gonna light the grill, but it looks like rain. Thank God, we really need it.

Went to the local parade, my sweety of 31 years is an EMT and helped to represent our town in the parade. Today brought back memories of 1975 (she was 14) when I saw her for the first time in her majorettes outfit! Don't go there Erik! Fell HARD and forever!!!
Now my youngest son and his wife are hanging out in our hot tub while we watch Matthew ( my oldest grandson).
It doesn't get much better!!

I can relate to that! Pretty pedestrian today. Golf, cut the yard, ribs on the grill and cocktails.Originally Posted by bigjim

That's on advantage to shift work.
I work for a nursing home...we don't close for holidays...but I was able to celebrate with some of our oldest vets...that is a nice part.Originally Posted by moparman53

I've had two days off (Monday was a "floating" holiday for us). Anyway, we had a huge party yesterday... something like 33 people here for games, food, movies, pool (swimming) and ping pong. First folks showed up at about 3:00 and the last couple left at about midnight. One couple brought a box of fireworks, and that was our "light" show for the evening. It rained in the morning, but only sprinkled lightly in the early afternoon. By dark the stars and moon were shinging brightly.
This morning... more rain... some of it heavy. Woke up late... watched some Tour de France... worked on the current stage production video project for the rest of the day... hoping to see some more fireworks in the neighborhood tonight, but the weather may interfere with any plans.
It's been great day!
Still in love with my first wife, and first car ('68 Charger)... Still have the wife!

Pretty lazy day today. Before it got too hot, I took my son around the neighborhood on his new bike.
Went out and bought a 42" plasma TV. My basement is almost ready for entertaining - got the foosball table, the sound system (through my CPU), and now the big TV.
Came back, and cooked up a mess of burgers and dogs, enjoyed some home-made, family recipe potato salad, and then celebrated my country's independece by blowing up a small portion of it.
"Walkin' the thin white line on this smiling road. 40 days, I've been all alone. Draggin' my heart all across this world. I got 100 miles to go before I get back to see my girl. Aint got nothing, I got nothing to lose. I keep walking away these blues. The cup is broken, but it's half full. I got 100 miles to go before I get back to see my girl."

Got up, took a nap. Went cruising town and the back roads in the MG convertible and came home to grill steak and halibut. Very nice.
