    What a crappy day!

Man, so a little backround first....I work at a trucking company loading and unloading trailers, and we get all kinds of frieght: big, small, heavy, light, solids, liquids, gases, anything but big explosives and nuclear wastes. Well today started off like any other 6pm to 1:30am shift except, i got stuck with the slowest guy on the dock, and he was on the forklift, in the crappiest loaded trailer i have ever seen, boxes and boxes, not wrapped together or sorted, its like santas bag, except i didnt have the magic to pull each kids present out together....so that took 3 and a half hours to pull everything out and send it where it needed to go. So now its 9:30, and usually i get to go to lunch here....but not tonight, no we dont get to lunch until 11:00pm.....so after lunch, we get a shift change, now we are working on loading truck by myself. We are not supposed to strip trailers on our own...we have to strip them before the loading process takes place. Well needless to say...right at my cutoff at 1:30....i have 2 skids with this powder in bags stacked 13 foot high. So i call for a forklift to come pick them out so i can get all my paper work done and split. Except the only thing that split was the bags on the bottom of one of the skids....the guy on the forklift bumped it with the fork, and poked a hole. He then pulled it half way in the trailer and left....he never came back. So i was stuck cleaning this cocaine looking substance up, and it was so thick, when i swept it....it blinded the whole trailer....i couldnt see anywhere....so here I am...just got finished working...and its 2:30am....man....this sucks....to make matters worse...the powder is stuck in my nose...and its killing my breathing....hopefully it clears out by tommrow....but tomorow...i gotta thread to make for everyone...that they will love to death.

Good Lord, I hope the powder was not toxic! Any type of powder you inhale could be harmful though.

Make sure you report it to your supervisor or who ever takes care of that stuff.

Have you ever seen how a Walmart truck is loaded? It would send shivers down your spine.

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

Yeah, let us know if you're still among the living. I imagine you're probably sleeping right now, though.

wouldn't the bill of lading tell you what the substance is? Hope you feel better today. Looking forward to your new post.

Yeah, i go through that everyday. Always finding a new chemical to breath in. What is it your moving? I do pool chemicals so I at least know what the substance could be. Ill bet it will just irritate you for a bit and be gone.

We get stuff that comes from california...and they call them tight trailers, becuase they break down skids with small boxes and then ram stuff in to make the weight they can get...becuase they dont want to send multiple trailers to PA. We get trailers that are much worse then Walmarts trailers, I have seen em.
