It's awesome Americans that gave the ultimate sacrifice like your son that keep me motivated in the military. GOD bless your son in Heaven and GOD bless you and your family.

    How old is this person?
Might explain the disconnect from reality.

People go into the Military for any reason you can think of but in the end they are there because they are some of the most caring people in society and work untold hours so we can enjoy our personal freedom. (Don't care if you a fighter pilot or a cook) Many stayed in leaving themselves in harms way so they could support their family due to the crappy job market. As for those who came back unable to work due to injuries we owe them respect and assistance in trying to put their lives into something worth living for.

Going into the military was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I would not do it again but I would not trade it for anything.
It teaches many things that a lot of kids in today's society just don't get including but not limited to..., respect for yourself and others, responsibility, trade skills, duty and honor.

I definitely don't like Charger Matt's opinion but I did serve my time and country so people could have one weather I agree with it or not.

The guy has been slaped with a permanent ban. Perhaps we could tone down the rhetoric?

Charger Matt is... er, was a punk kid who enjoyed posting for shock value and instigating discussions such as this. I'm sure that even after being banned it pleases him immensely to see that we're still talking about him...

For what it's worth, I would ~like~ to think that he doesn't really believe what he posted in this thread, and that he was just too stupid to know where to draw the line. Either way, I'm sure we wont miss him.

y'know what... lets let that be the last word. I don't usually close threads without a good rules reason but this can be an exception. See Bipto's post for why.
