Ok... So I took my kids (9 & 6 year old boys) + my wife and my neighbors with their kids (9 yr old girl, 5 and 4 yr old boys) to see it.
I waited 8 hours, to make sure I could get good seats ... Yep 4pm for a midnight show... But I got 9 perfectly centered seats in the middle of the theater...
And man was IT WORTH IT!!
As good as the other 2, if you didnt like them.. dont bother seeing this one.
But if you liked 1 and 2... This one was great... Great story, great specal effects, great soundtrack.. Great VILLIANS..
Im not going to put to muich in about the story, since I dont want to spoil it... But it was a ton of fun.. you wont regret it.

Yep saw it last night too. I enjoyed it very much, but a couple "true" Spidey fans I saw it with were a bit disappointed. I guess I didn't know the comic well enough to expect more.
Either way, we all agreed it was entertaining and worth seeing!
I've been happy with the slight variations. I think the differences make for good cinema. They still keep the most important themes....some of the details changed, but details don't matter as much as "the point" that seems to be communicated very well.

I'll be eventually seeing it. I loved the first 2, and should quite enjoy this one.
A lot of reviews I've seen (and clips of people coming out of the theatre)... didnt really like it. Thats fine, I'll be my own judge of that.
My 9 year old mentioned a couple of the differences... I didnt know enough not to enjoy the movie... he loved it anyway
I guess its the same mentality of those who didnt like the Lord of the Rings movie, because Tom Bombadill (sp?) was cut out... Frankly, I thought it was the worst 100 pages in the books... so I was glad he was cut![]()
I have seen mostly good reviews, but not as good as S-M 2. That won't stop me from seeing it though. I'll try to get to the IMAX.
I just wish they would take a step up in making the digital people a little more realistic.
(Waiting "patiently" for the 300C SRT8 8-speed) Coming.....soon?
Yup midnight showing here as well... nothing like downtown Oxnard!!![]()
As for the movie itself... 20 mins to long for me and what was the story with the long credits in the beginning... man that was a movie on it's own...
The movie had a little bit to much of the love story going on for me...
Overall... a B+ movie.

Thank you Bigal470
I thought it was absolutely horrible.
WAY too much story, not eough "fun stuff". It was so bad, we almost walked out of the theater, but we held on to the hope that the ending would make it worth it.
It wasn't worth it.
Too much story, not enough time spent on interesting characters (you can count 15-20 minutes without seeing pivotal characters at any given time... you nearly forget about them sometimes), and the fight scenes were LAME. All they did was hit each other in the head a lot. The only good ones were between Spidey and Hobgoblin.
Everybody cries, too much singing, and Spidey/PP dancing too much. Oh... and wtf was up with the PP/Saturday Night Fever thing????
I've always been a big Sidey fan,and i told my wife i hope there is no 4.It seemed like they went hollywood, with that love story, but i still enjoyed it.Venom rules.
I thought it was a little cheesy compaired to the other two, but ultimately fun to watch. Probably my least favorite of the three though.

Boy have times changed. When I was 6 years old, I had to be in bed by 8 pm. And, there's no way my dad would wait in a line for a movie for 4 hours.
I'll wait until the excitement subsides and watch it down the street on the new Omniplex big screen. Actually, I think I'll go with wifee to the new theatre/tavern combo and have some brews, a meal, and watch it.![]()

Gak! 8 hours in line for a movie? Never happen for me. This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? (nah) Good. I didn't think so.
I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 minutes to get into a movie in my life. Maybe the movie Tommy in NYC at it's premier. I might have waited 45 minutes. (Now there was a joke of a movie.)
I think you will be remembered as the "cool" dad, and hopefully not the crazy dad that made us wait in line for 8 hours...
What did you do for 8 hours in the line?
Wow...we didn't wait in line at all. Bought the tickets online, got to the theater about 1.5 hours before the movie, walked right in and got our seats.
