Some hope for my father in law

Hey all,
I am usually a kinda to "myself type of a guy", but me and Mrs''dude could use a Uum well wish...I don't know. My FIL has Altzheimers and thing aren't looking so good. He was the strongest man I know. Could grow anything.....blew me away......I haven't bought eggs in 10 years...and than this. Started out slowly and then he just fell apart. He hasn't eaten anything in 3 weeks other than a teaspoon of ensure. I think the end is near and just pray Mrs.'Dude will be able to deal.

My husband and I are caretakers for my father-in-law and I know what you are going thru. If you need anything we are here for you and Mrs. Dude.

Sorry sir. I can relate my MIL is here was supposed to be a one week visit.She has been here over a month. She is sufficating to death and getting worse everyday. They have to drive 2000 mile to get back to AZ. You never really know how much you love someone until you are faced with the prospect of losing them. My heart goes out to you and your family. You will be in my prayers as I doze off tonite.

Man that is hard to let go. I hope the Lord makes it as smooth as it can be for all of you. Mrs Magnumdude will need you as a support. She obviously already has your devotion. Prayers go out to you.

I unfortunately watch the devastation of Alzheimer's disease at my job every day. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

You are making the right decisions magnumdude...stay strong and follow the faith of your father-in-law that you know you are following his wishes.

Pepper those Dr's and all Dr's you run across with questions. Read everything you can. Maybe somebody has found - or at least has an idea on what set this in motion so suddenly. Is he in a home? Something tramatic happen to him or a friend of his? Maybe he is aware of good friend of his may be having a problem and he is trying to associate with.
All straws grasping thoughts on my end but sometimes that is all you have at this time.

Best wishes to both of you. It's not an easy situation to go through. My father is going through a similar situation with his wife and my wife has been dealing with it with her aunt. It's such an ugly disease.
