sirius got me

my 1 year free subscription somehow turned into a 2 year free subscription. at first i was thinking there was no way i would buy it. my lease is up and im losing my free sirius though :( now I want it. ugh.

whats the best receiver on the market? any deals to be had? can these things be used indoors as well?

Yea You Would Have To Get The Home Kit Or A Home Receiver With Sirius Built In Also You Need To Have The Antenna Outside With A Clear View Of The Sky As Well No Matter If It's Indoors Or Not I Would Suggest The Sportster 5 That Is A Pretty Nice Unit And It Runs For About 150.00$

I have a Starmate that I love. The antenna doesn't necessarily have to be outside though. I use mine all day at work with the antenna sitting on the window sill, but it worked 30'-40' inside the building too thanks to the terrestrial signals they have in bigger cities. It has so many more features than the factory head unit in the car that I'm probably going to get another one so that I can just leave the first one at the office. It drives me nuts if I accidentally leave it at home.

If you're around an internet connection, you can use Stream_ON. I use it at work and it's great. But I'm a software developer, so I'm on the computer the whole day.

I am hooked on my Sirius as well. I have the Sportster 5 radio also and really like the features. My only complaint with it is that it quit connecting to the antenna after 6 months. Sirius sent me a new one no charge and it's working fine. One of the car kits I had was made for the earlier Sportsters and I don't think everything lined up perfectly and allowed the antenna contacts to wear out.

I dont know why everybody isn't listening to SIRIUS. Its the only real radio on radio. That should be their slogan. Hehehe. Content and sound quality alone will prove superior to terrestrial FM.
Every time I get a loaner car I fuggin cringe at FM. the commercials and STATIC.

Its one of those things that if ya have to have it, you get it.
Try best buy or radio shack for the Sportster 5. Its sick with all the features. PM me if ya have a question. I've been a subscriber since June 05. There were 600,000 of us then.
