Schrempp stepping down - Good or Bad?
Jürgen Schrempp is apparently stepping down as DC chairman, under pressure for pushing the merger with Chrysler at the expense of the Mercedes brand. Dieter Zetsche will be taking the DC helm, and Tom LaSorda will take Dieter's role as Chrysler head.
My personal take is that the merger was very good for us - a lot of the LX DNA is Daimler. Zetsche's focus on Chrysler helped make it profitable. I have to imagine that Zetche will put his energy towards propping up Mercedes, and by extension, Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge will suffer.
What do you guys think?

Is not dieter a real car guy? Will this not help the company if there is someone in command thet is not just a company man or bean counter no offence to the bean counters!

LaSorda is no car guy. He is the bean counter poster child. You should see some the **** he tried to do in the plants to save money(on some of his plant visits). After he left everything went back to normal. Even the supervisors were shaking thier heads at his stupidy.
