I was an electronics engineer for major corporation that has been in business in the US for over 125 years. We designed and manufactured the worlds largest massively parallel computers. Our lofty goal was to process every transaction in the world. One example before I retired our computers booked 85% of the worlds airline seats. All major retailers used the systems 24/7 365 days a year.

I came to know Foxconn as a sub-par connector company. One of my responsibilities was all of the electrical interconnects. I never allowed Foxconn connectors to be used. For an electronics show in Los Angeles they hire a Penthouse Pet for a booth bimbo. She had on a long flowing goown with lots of slits, slots and missing pieces. She had on no foundation garments, I looked but I didn't buy - - - connectors.

I didn't know they made chips and I don't believe Del would use them. They dance very closely with intel.

I wouldn't use most of the connectors used in the automotive industry.

Foxconn makes almost everything Apple sells. Foxconn is a terrifying, terrifying company. I've been mildly tracking them for a few years now as they pop up in various media announcements, and they're famed for their employee suicides.

I think, quite honestly, that things are worse than they appear. Every company does what they can to cover things up. Foxconn has a small city for a production facility, and security guards that bar admission to everyone not an employee. There's never been, to my knowledge, a reporter allowed to look at their production facility without a lot of advanced notice.
