My pre trial court date is late in July. I'm confident I'll get off easy.
They didn't screw me for the court location at least. I got the court house that is in my area instead of the downtown court house which is a PITA to get to & park.

FULL STORY
Get a good lawyer = $150 to $250. Have him be VERY patient with the DA and wait until they are amenable to reducing your charge. My June 2011 ticket did not clear until May 2012 and my fine is actually not due until July 23rd. It also helped that I had a license in 1997 in NC for one year and then moved away. For some strange reason, when I got my ticket again here in NC, after living in VA for 13 years, only my 1 ticket from NC in 1997 appeared on my record with none of my VA tickets (11 in 13 years). My lawyer kept asking for a continuance until we got it reduced and sited the 1 ticket driving record as "good behavior" even though I had another speeding ticket moved to an equipment violation less than 7 months prior. FL ticket was out of state so all they really want is the money any way.

Update....Court yesterday. Adjudication withheld & $220 court costs. Which basically means dismissed & no points.
Laser is deadly. If you get an alert you are almost always pulling over for the ticket.
Having said that, laser jammers do work. The strategy used by the jammers is to pulse out laser in a pattern that causes the speed calculations to vary too much for the gun to display a reading.
Laser guns are deadly accurate, fast and can get readings at crazy distances. A detector is almost useless against them.
Enjoy life- you only get one!!
No speeding tickets here, just exhaust and doing burnouts and stop lights.
I racked up 200$ in fines in less than 24hours after I got my blower.
