    Places to live

I keep wanting to move, but don't know where. I lived in Florida for a year but it was too slow and monotonous. CT is only cool for me because I've lived here my whole life. Panama city, FL seemed like a cool place when I was driving around it looking for a bench seat (don't ask). Anyone know of a really awesome place to live? How's so-cal?

I don't mind the seasons but hate the freezing temps. I need to play basketball, and prefer a big city near by.

This may sound kinda off, but is there any place where people are more intelligent? Seems like there's a lot of dumb people around me (especially in Florida).

SoCal is pretty cool. If your single, live in the southbay area by the beach. And for what you do, there is tons of work out here, you can make a good living.

How about Phoenix AZ. If I wasn't tied to a family business here in Oregon thats where I would be

That's almost like asking how old you would want to be. Way too many variables. I've been in almost every state in the USA. My pick for the best city would be Seattle. My second choice would be somewhere in Montana.

My least favorite states would be Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Iowa, Kansas and West Virginia.

I've just donned the flame suit, so I'm ready.

I really think I want to check out socal, it seems like a place I would like - kinda like a mix of the city parts of the north east mixed with the weather I like of the south.

O yeah, a place with car audio shops would be a necessity too!

Dallas. In particular, the city of Addison. Younger, wealthy, and intelligent. I've lived a bunch of places and Addison was my favorite...I ended up in Jacksonville for work and family in Florida. Gainesville Florida is pretty cool as well...I lived there for 10 years..
    My 2 cents
    Take care,
    Christopher

    Rob,

check into the Raleigh, NC area....a great mix of everything you mentioned....great weather, affordable living, many high tech companies (ie. smart people)....constantly being rated one of the best places to live.

not a great big city but big enough for most...

Atlanta area is nice but has waayyyy too much traffic!!!

Maybe it's evocative of 'fake everything blonde' but... SoCal and intelligence in the same sentence. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Another for the greater NYC area-
Brooklyn, NY. Long Island is too far. I'd take a little change of seasons for my borough ANY day.

lol, I have an outstanding speeding ticket from georgia that I never plan on paying, so I don't think I'll be moving to the atl anytime soon.

raleigh sounds interesting though, I'll look into it. Basically what I am doing is sending resume to perspective employers and whoever offers me the best combination of pay, benefits, location, and happiness will be the place I go - if I go anywhere.

Just curious...How long ago was that speeding ticket ?
....and from this quote..I don't think you'd be welcome back in Florida.............

As for me. I love Florida, tropical feel, beautiful beaches, friendly
people ( intelligent too )and my kinda lifestyle. I'd be there now,
if it wasn't for my Fiance' being so close to her family (I should say
tribe, there's SO many of 'em)
