Sometimes while driving, I go the wrong way
caused by my mistake or other drivers that day.
Maybe I couldn't get over or maybe my instructions were wrong.
A million and one ways to turn a short trip into long.
Regardless of how it happened, I'm now in a different place
with spinning tires, white knuckles and a scowl on my face.
Too mad about where I'm not to realize where I am
Perhaps though, this was destiny and God is lending a hand.
You know, often I pray and ask God for a sign
and quickly he responds but I'm distracted or I'm blind.
I should take the time to look around this place I found lost
and appriciate the sites I've seen, sites that have no cost.
Life is a journey with many detours and roads
and this trail stretched out before me? I have no clue where it goes.
I do know this, as another bridge is crossed;
I now will treasure beauty in the places I find lost.
See, when my trip began I had a destination in mind
but things got unfamiliar and I didn't read the signs.
Now I've found I'm in a different place than where I first sat out to be
but I look around this place I've found and I'm liking what I see.
My tank is full and I have plenty of tunes.

Grin -- that is GOOD STUFF -- I like it.
Happens to me often, and the discovery process is cool -- it's amazing the nooks and crannies we haven't been right around the corner from where we are -- nicely put into rhyme.
