Photo Blocker License Plate Spray - Does this work?

They are installing those red-light cameras like crazy here in Fort Worth and Dallas....well, I am not a fan of these tactics designed to rip off the citizens of a city. So I need to figure out how to combat these buracratic scumbags.

So I was checking this stuff out:
    http://photoblocker.com/

Question is, has anyone here used this?
    Does it work?
Have you gotten out of a ticket with it?
Or, did it fail and you got a ticket anyway?

    Let me know...

While I agree with you on the reason for existence of "red light cams", I do know of a fail safe way to not get a ticket: STOP AT THE LIGHT!!

    Mythbusters says it doesn't.

If you do get a ticket just use your Delorean to go back in time and tell yourself to stop.

    Huge rip off...

However... WHile I hate photo radar... While I hate photo radar... Red light cameras are easy enough not to get hit by..

I have the spay, and have not had a photo radar ticket for 2 years. That being said, I don't ever recall the flash going off like I should have gotten a ticket either. So I would say I've just been lucky and not sped through a trap for 2 years, no credit to the spray.

The real downside to all those Fn red light cameras though.....They set off my V1 radar detector every time I get within 1/2 block of them. In Edmonton, there must be 400 red light cameras in use which quickly becomes annoying when doing any extended driving in the city.

It's not only red light cameras. Those I agree with. Running a red light deserves a ticket!

It's the damn random speed trap photo radars! They are definitely there to extort money from citizens. The last one I got was for 2 MPH over! And the judge didn't care that I wasn't legally served by a processor (he left the papers in my door). BS I say.

I would so love for this stuff to work.

Exactly, photo radar, toll booths, red lights.
Of course, I agree that you shouldn't run red lights.
But sometimes it go's off and they ticket the wrong people.

I recently got a ticket from a tool booth that I DID pay at,
but I guess it malfunctioned and went off anyway.
They mailed me a ticket for $3.00

The photo radar is also BS.

Here's the problem with these things, they have NOTHING to do with
safety, they have to do with MAKING MONEY.
    LOTS OF MONEY.
They shorten the time of the yellow to TRAP people.
They lower the speed limits in random areas to TRAP you.
For instance, they will have a 50 go to a 35, then to a 45,
then through a 20 school zone, and then back to a 50. WTF?
You will notice that the speed cameras are right at the point of
    where the speed drops.

I'll try the spray, see what happens.
I'm not going to intentionally break the law, but if it comes down to
slamming on my brakes and getting rear ended or blasting a yellow
I think it is safer to blast the yellow.
I predict that these cameras will increase the amount of rear enders
at these intersections as people begin to run the yellow, see the camera,
chicken out and then slam on their brakes...

    Hey, here's an idea.
Steal your favorite enemies plates, then go on a nice drive and run
a few toll booths, red lights, and then put the plates back on the car.
    Hmmmm....

    LOL about the plates Bob!

BTW. I agree 100% with you. The unmanned enforcement is all about embezzlement. I just wish I had the money to fight them.

I'd heard that the spray does work, but only where cameras are used that actually have flash bulbs. Many I think now are just video cameras and they roll and the time and grab frames and save them when they see a red light violation. No flash there, so the spray doesn't work.

What we need are James Bond License Plates, where we could roll the plate away at intersections to a blank or other novelty plate, then roll it back for normal driving.
