    Paint shop question

I have my car in a very good body shop. I went to visit it today (freshly painted yesterday), the glass guy was coming in today. The glass guy was removing the masking tape and peeled off the clear coat on the roof. I'll try to include an image for you, but my question for those in the painting profession: What are your recommendations for me? Do I just trust that it will be fine and let the shop do their work and just hope for good results, or do I offer some advice (that I get from your responses)?

THAT IS HORRIBLE! I'm not a paint professional, but that looks like the clear coat didn't bond at all! If that major bit came off, I'd recommend they pull the rest off to a natural panel line, etc., and redo the job.

And what's up with pulling the masking tape toward the paint? That's the only way I can imagine the masking pulling the clear coat up and away. I would have 1) scored the clear coat at the tape edge (it should be well below any molding lines so that the end would be totally invisible once finished, and 2) pulled the tape away toward the front/hood so that it broke cleanly away from the scored edge.
Still in love with my first wife, and first car ('68 Charger)... Still have the wife!

I am surprised at how easy it is to peel off the clear coat from the base coat. I have another image that shows the passenger side and it was peeled back half of the sunroof, I actually could pick at the clear coat and pull more off. I wonder if the rest of the paint did not bond, is this normal, how can this be avoided?

I was planning on having them paint the hood strip and HEMI, now I'm starting to wonder if that will hold.

Here's my latest attempt at photochopping the hood black paint:
