Non LX ?. PT Cruiser steering shimmy ?

Have a neighbor that just bought a 2007 PT Cruiser from Carmax. She asked me to take it for a ride and see if I felt what she felt.

At certain speeds when coming out of a turn, the steering seems to be a bit squirrely, or some mild vibrations and a choppy return to center steering. Also when I was cruising and just running the steering wheel back and fro it just seems choppy (the best description) I can give. Braking seems good, with hands off the wheel it stays centered on a hard or soft braking.

She has a 30 day warranty to have any issues addressed. Was hoping for some ideas from you folks also.

I remember that just kinda being how the PT cruiser is...we had one a few years ago and it did a similar thing. We chalked it up to FWD and overworked (read: cheap) steering parts, and ditched it when the lease was up.
Her first mistake was the PT Snuiser

I hope that the issue (if there is in fact one) gets cleared up. I think it might just be new car syndrome.

Front end bushings are notoriously bad. Replacement with good aftermarket ones makes a world of difference. Take a quick look under the car and you will probably see they are shot.
