    NHRA coolness

man, I have been out at the track for the last three daze. I have one deaf ear and one ringin' ear. lol My camera is full of rubber and my head is full of knowledge. I learned sooo much from these guys. I was able to hang in the pits, talk to the drivers and get close up tours of the cars, trailers and lives. They were all very cool to me and I had a blast. Wound up with a 17 minute NHRA feature.
    awesome.
no peekaboo footage... Volume Four will be available very soon.
    I'm still shootin, man!

My brother and his wife sat down and had tea with Shirley Muldowny once. Shirley gave them all kinds of tips on how to set up their car.

I think that car people love car people as much as they love their cars.

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

It's great when guys like the drivers can spend some of their valuable time with people. The ones that think they are to good to talk to regular people, forget where their paychecks come from.

Prolly the best thing about NHRA is the fact you can get right up next to the cars, the crews and even the drivers. At the recent O`Riely Nationals in Houston , I had to laugh. This lady, maybe 30 ish , of Asian decent, was talking to this one guy. They were just chatting about all kinds of things. He said he had to run and they said goodbye have a good evening and such. She walked out and saw the flyers they put out for autographs. She imediately turned to her husband and said "He is the driver" Hubby said no way, then she showed him the flyer and they both had ear to ear grins on their face.Turns out it was "Hot Rod" Fuller.
You can`t do that at Nascar, IRL, or any other sactioning body of racing.
Here is a quick pic of me and Alan Johnson in his pit.

Karen Soffer - Pro Stock Motorcycle rider

Erica Enders - Pro Stock Car Driver

    Can`t get any closer

    Sorry for the Hijack Grinner

    no hijack at all, man.
Love the pics. NRA has a new fan right here.
I saw the Jerry Haas sign in one of your pics. I talked with him in depth. Found out his shop is about 20 minutes from my house.
I also learned even the chevy guys are sportin Hemis!
bwaaahahhah aha. Don't think I didn't point that out during a video tour.

Ya Hass does most of the chassis out there in Pro Stock, all makes and models. He does excelent work as do the others. That was Erica Enders pit, she does drive a Mopar altho not a Charger. The Charger bodies run in Funny Car and I think its the Stratus line that runs Pro Stock.
Hey maybe you could run down by his shop one day and explain what your doing and maybe he would give you a tour of what all he does for your vids. Talk about big time, HELL YA BABY.

yeah he was cool with that idea. He has a busy season but when things calm down, I'ma go hang with him for a day.
It was funny. The drag racing manager mentioned how very un"star struck" I was while talkin to these dudes. Truth is, I had never heard of most of em. lol
